Superior Technology Solutions Takes Leadership Role in the Rockland Business Association’s Technology Initiative

Published April 10, 2013

Pearl River, NY) In early 2013, The Rockland Business Association (RBA) revived the Technology Initiative sub-group that will address the ever changing business needs in the technology and computer industry. One of the primary goals of the committee is to provide an educational forum to their over 1,100 business members about new and emerging technologies. The group is spearheaded by IT companies Atlantic -Tomorrow’s Office, VirtuIT Systems and Superior Technology Solutions. The Initiative coincides with Governor Cuomo’s State of the State presentation which proposed steps to accelerate the commercialization of good technology ideas and the creation of new businesses.

John Luludis, president of IT provider Superior Technology, will deliver the Technology Group’s April presentation on the importance of developing an information security policy in the workplace, and how to protect your businesses from the risks of unrestricted internet access.

“We’re excited to share with RBA members how to create an effective information security policy to control and manage the security of information, while leveraging evolving technologies,” says Luludis.

“Businesses are increasingly using evolving technologies to conduct their business and communicate with customers,” says Luludis. “This includes social media, email, video conferencing, chatting, instant messaging and blogging. Malware, viruses, spyware infection and the inadvertent disclosure of confidential information can put your business at risk. We’ll discuss approaches to help minimize these risks.”

The April meeting of the Rockland Business Association Technology Initiative will take place on April 17 from 8:00 – 9:30 a.m. at the Jewish Community Center in the Adler Community Board Room (450 W. Nyack Rd., W. Nyack, NY). The event is free of charge, and interested attendees can RSVP online: www.rocklandbusiness.org.
