Catersource is the annual event which attracts vendors and service providers from across the hospitality industry.

A year and a half ago, hospitality executives Frank O’Dea and Greg Dodge engaged Superior to create Schedule-Cloud by One Touch. The tool, created in response to a continual rise in labor costs and shrinking profits, saves time in managing a part-time workforce, streamlines operations, and maximizes profits. By allowing employees to directly interface with the application and entering their availability, users are matched with upcoming events. Today, the technology is actively used by over 3,000 staff members across the country for hospitality giants such as Restaurant Associates, Wolfgang Puck and Universal Studios.

Over the past several months, Superior has focused upon improving the platform’s mobile presence. Now, users can not only manage employee’ schedules through the application, but they can also sign employees in and out of events via mobile timecards. Following an event, all workers will receive an email with their hours worked, which they can either accept or dispute.
In addition to coordinating schedules for servers and other part-time workers, the platform now tallies part-time workers’ past hours. By calculating hours worked through the calendar year, companies can accurately calculate paid time off due to their employees. Today, many organizations award unnecessary paid time off, which costs time and resources.
Schedule-Cloud offers role-based access for administrators and managers. The tool is leased with a monthly fee, which can be cancelled at any time. In addition, Schedule-Cloud offers users a free trial period. The competitively-priced software is based on number of users versus the traditional transaction pricing model, and it can be used on the enterprise level or for smaller caterers.
